A skid steer loader is a versatile piece of small construction machinery. In 1960, Melroe Company of the United States (now the Bobcat brand) first implemented a four-wheel drive configuration on its M400 model, marking the birth of the modern skid steer loader. Skid steer loaders feature all-wheel drive and achieve steering through the differential speed of the drive wheels on both sides. They are capable of zero-radius turning, which allows them to navigate narrow passages and perform engineering operations in extremely confined spaces.

I. Classification

Skid-steer loaders can be categorized into wheeled and tracked types based on their travel mode. Wheeled skid-steer loaders are characterized by faster travel speeds and easier maneuverability for relocation, making them suitable for operations on relatively flat surfaces, such as auxiliary tasks in highway engineering. Tracked skid-steer loaders, however, offer superior ground contact and pass ability, giving them an edge when working in complex terrains like soft ground or rugged mountain paths.

9. Clamp

Structure: Consists of two or more clamping jaws, a hydraulic control system, and other parts. The clamping jaws can be adjusted according to the shape of the object being clamped.

Application Scenarios: Used for transporting irregularly shaped objects, such as metal components and stone materials in construction waste.

Advantages: It can firmly clamp objects of various shapes, facilitating transportation.

1. Operations in Confined Spaces: Performing tasks in narrow areas such as urban infrastructure sites, roads, construction sites, factory workshops, warehouses, docks, ship decks, and even ship cabins. With a small minimum turning radius, it can operate flexibly in these tight spaces. 

2. Operations on Uneven Terrain: Equipped with four-wheel drive without an inter-wheel differential, combined with a diesel turbocharged engine, high-performance full-size tires, and an ultra-short wheelbase design, it boasts strong off-road capability, making it suitable for operations on rough and uneven ground. 

3. Diverse Engineering Tasks: Capable of quickly replacing or attaching different work attachments to perform various tasks, including shoveling and transporting, stacking, hoisting, excavating, drilling, crushing, grabbing, pushing and shoveling, loosening soil, digging trenches, road sweeping, and road compaction. 

4. Logistical Support and Completion Work: Used for logistical support, site cleanup, and project completion tasks for large construction machinery, such as clearing leftover debris like tiles from construction sites. 

5. Other Applications: It can serve as a mobile pump station to power hydraulic tools (e.g., handheld hydraulic pickaxes). It is also directly applicable to road snow removal and cleaning operations. When paired with snow and ice removal accessories, it can efficiently clear large areas of snow and ice.
