Lithium-ion forklifts are new-type electric forklifts driven by lithium-ion batteries. By replacing traditional fuel oil or lead-acid batteries with electric energy, they have redefined the efficiency and environmental protection standards of warehousing and handling. Essentially, they take lithium-ion battery packs (commonly lithium iron phosphate or ternary lithium) as the core power source and combine with motor control systems to realize pollution-free and low-noise operation of forklifts, serving as an important tool for the implementation of logistics automation and the "dual carbon" goals.

Compared with traditional models, lithium-ion forklifts have significant differentiated competitiveness: In terms of environmental protection, they achieve zero emissions throughout operation (no exhaust gas, no carbon dioxide) and have a noise level close to that of daily conversations (≤70 decibels), completely solving the problems that internal combustion forklifts are prohibited for indoor use and lead-acid battery forklifts have indirect carbon emissions; In terms of performance, lithium-ion batteries support high-current charging and discharging. In fast charging mode, 80% of the power can be restored in 1 hour (lead-acid batteries require 8-10 hours of slow charging). Moreover, their power output is stable, with the maximum lifting speed and driving speed increased by about 30% respectively, making them suitable for high-frequency continuous operations; In terms of economy, the battery life is as long as 5-10 years (lead-acid batteries only last 2-3 years), and the maintenance-free design reduces labor costs, resulting in lower comprehensive costs in long-term use.
At present, mainstream applications cover scenarios such as high-density warehousing in e-commerce (narrow-aisle forklifts), cold storage in the food and pharmaceutical industry (low-temperature resistant models), and precision material handling in manufacturing. Some high-end models are also equipped with intelligent monitoring systems that can feedback real-time power, faults, and operation data. As the global logistics industry accelerates electrification, relying on the comprehensive advantages of "cleanliness, high efficiency, and intelligence", lithium-ion forklifts are transforming from "optional configurations" to "standard tools".
